Stoltz Socks It to Skyhawks, Cracks 5 Hits
Saturday, May 2nd , 2048
It was a sensational day at the plate for Danny Stoltz as he led the charge to a nifty 8-4 win over the Skyhawks. The Brownsville left fielder was pure misery for the Flagstaff pitching staff. He left them shell-shocked with 5 hits in 12 at-bats in an explosive display of hitting.
"Stoltz put the ball into play and he really hit it hard," said Dan Avila, manager for the Skyhawks, after the game. "When you do that, you've got a good chance to do some damage. And that's what happened. I feel like we threw some good pitches, but he just put some good swings on the ball."
Danny Stoltz flied out in the 1st, singled in the 4th, flied out in the 6th, hit an RBI double in the 8th, grounded out in the 10th, singled in the 13th, flied out in the 15th, struck out in the 17th, flied out in the 20th, singled in the 22nd, doubled in the 23rd and flied out in the 24th.
At present, Stoltz is batting .339 with 21 hits and 1 home run. He has knocked in 14 runs and scored 4 times.
