Monster 3-HR Day for Jones
Friday, April 26th , 2047
Fans are still buzzing after Baxter whipped the Arlington Trappers by the score of 10-0 at Trappers Ballpark.
John Jones smashed three home runs in the contest, a feat that would be a career highlight for most players and few fans ever see. In a tremendous performance, the second baseman bashed out 3 hits in 5 at-bats, had 5 RBIs and scored 3 times.
At the postgame press conference, Jones said it was an "unbelievable" feeling to hit three home runs in a game.
"Getting one homer is special, and two is great," Jones said. "Three is just... wow."
John Jones hit a solo-shot off Ryan Rivers in the 1st, grounded out in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Ben Hale in the 5th, grounded out in the 7th and hit a three-run home run off Mike Foust in the 9th.
To date this season, Jones is hitting .157 with 3 home runs.
