Bass Dominates Cherries in 10-0 Shutout Tuesday, July 2nd , 2047 It wasn't easy but the Da Nang Dolphins made it look that way. Starter Dan Bass shut out the Traverse City Cherries despite having what he later called "sub-par" stuff, and the Da Nang Dolphins cruised to victory, 10-0. Bass allowed only 3 hits and rang up 7 strikeouts but insisted later that he did not deserve primary credit for the win. "It didn't feel quite right today, but I got a lot of help to get through," he said. "I trusted my catcher and the guys behind me bailed me out more than once when I screwed up." Up to now Bass has compiled an ERA of 1.63 with a 8-2 mark over 16 starts. He has 94 strikeouts in 110.2 innings and has held opponents to a .201 batting average. View Boxscore |
