Brooks on Fire: 5-for-5 for Concord Sunday, May 2nd , 2049 It doesn't happen very often, but it did for Aaron Brooks -- a 5-hit effort. He went on a rampage at Bruins Ballpark and paced the 5-2 Blue Devils win over the Killarney Lakes. After his dynamite batting performance, the Concord third baseman told reporters that he "just tried to get in a good count and have a good at-bat. That's all I can control." His philosophy paid dividends today. He slammed 5 hits in 5 tries and put his name in the record book. Aaron Brooks singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 6th and doubled in the 8th. So far on the season, Brooks is hitting .438 with 2 home runs, 11 RBIs and 15 runs scored. He has 39 hits and played in 22 games. View Boxscore |
