Vallurupa 5-for-5 for Traverse City Sunday, April 7th , 2052 It was a hits blitz for Didhitimat Vallurupa at Cherries Ballpark. The Traverse City Cherries left fielder tore into the Qubec City Poutine for 5 hits in 5 at-bats, but it wasn't enough to win the game. The Poutine swept past the Cherries, 7-5, to ruin Vallurupa's day. "We weren't locating our pitches well," Traverse City manager Matt Bronson explained after the game. "Once you get behind in the count, you have to make really good pitches, rather than pretty good pitches, and we weren't able to do that today. Getting 5 hits from Didhitimat was nice but it wasn't enough." Didhitimat Vallurupa singled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th and singled in the 8th.
