Canavan Slaps 5 Hits Saturday, July 2nd , 2050 5 times is the charm -- at least for Isaac Canavan. The Traverse City Cherries second baseman tore up the Concord Blue Devils to the tune of 5 hits in 6 at-bats at Bruins Ballpark. The offensive onslaught from Canavan powered the 13-3 Cherries win. "Canavan was a tough out," Concord manager C.J. Benevides said to the press in the postgame interview. "He hit some very good pitches with that quick bat of his. Not an easy out, that's for sure." Isaac Canavan flied out in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, singled in the 7th, singled in the 8th and hit a three-run triple in the 9th.
