Houston Defeats Concord Monday, October 5th , 2048 This is the time of the baseball season when grown men are reduced to tears. This year, the Houston Orange Kings were shedding tears of joy and the Concord Blue Devils those of sorrow. The Orange Kings topped the Blue Devils today 5-1 at Bruins Ballpark and locked up their 2nd CBD Single A Round 3 championship, winning the series 4-1. "To come this far and leave empty-handed is not easy," said Concord manager C.J. Benevides. The Orange Kings finished the regular season in the Division 3 with a 79-61 record, ending up in second place in the division standings. View Boxscore |
