Blanks 5-for-7 for Rhome Wednesday, July 13th , 2050 Rhome second baseman Travis Blanks had a big day at Euharlee Fields against the Euharlee Hammerheads. The 19-year-old, who is not typically considered a big threat with the bat, went 5-for-7 and led to the 17-0 Rhavioli triumph over Euharlee. "Hey, I'm as surprised as you guys are," Blanks said in his postgame comments, smiling as he scolded the press corps for underestimating him. "Maybe I'm not so bad at the plate after all." Travis Blanks doubled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, hit a two-run home run off Jim Unknown in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 5th, flied out in the 6th and grounded out in the 8th.
