Lobato Goes on Rampage Against Rhavioli Saturday, September 5th , 2048 Can Tho center fielder Lorenzo Lobato had a fantastic day at the plate at Banner Island Ballpark, knocking out 6 hits and pacing his club to a win, 19-12. "It was like I was hitting Little League pitching," Lobato said after his 6-for-7 performance against the Rhavioli. "No offense meant to Rhome, but it was like I was back in little league again -- I could see the ball that well. But this wasn't a kid park, it was Banner Island Ballpark." After the game, his manager elaborated on the center fielder's improvements, saying Lobato spent the offseason trying to shorten his swing and stay inside the ball. "That's what I'm trying to do," Lobato said. "Be quick to the ball and let it travel a little farther so I get a better look at it." Lorenzo Lobato singled in the 1st, doubled in the 2nd, hit a two-run single in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 8th and struck out in the 9th.
