Cork Wins Round 2 Tuesday, September 15th , 2048 The Cork Claws said they felt the Round 2 with the Corpus Christi Beach Boys would go the distance. But it didn't end up being that difficult, as Cork advanced to the Round 3 with a 13-10 score, to clinch the series 4-1 at Beach Boys Ballpark. "Whether it goes to the final game or not, we faced a good team and got the job done. It's a big momentum boost for us," said Tony Lopez, who was named series MVP. "We're all feeling good about our chances to win the Round 3." For the series, Lopez hit .529 with a .704 on-base percentage. He had 1 home runs, drove in 8 RBI and scored 6 runs.
